Charlotte, I wonder if your Sarah J. BLOUNT might be part of my family. My ggrandfather was Lauren Tilden BLOUNT (b 1834 in Avon, NY, d 1860 in Wayne, Michigan.) He married Sarah Jane BUTTS in Illinois: her family had moved west from Stowe, VT, the Butts' known the Blounts in New England - there were connections in VT and NH. Lauren's father was Alanson BLOUNT, b. 1800 in Avon, NY, d 1887 in Wayne, Michigan. I think Alanson was the only child in his family to survive to adulthood. His parents-who moved to NY-were Jonathon BLUNT (b 1753 NH) and Mehitable LYON (b 1765 CT). Jonathan's parents were Jonathan BLUNT and Sarah?. They lived in Andover, MA and Chester, NH and had Jonathan, Joshua, Samuel, Sarah and Mary. This Sarah is probably to old to be the one you are looking for but I wonder if Joshua or Samuel had a daughter?
