Thanks for the information you gave me. Can I ask where you got it? If I can be pointed to something I might be able to find at the archives here in Raleigh, I'd be grateful.

It's interesting to find out that Affie is a nickname for Afraca. Is that the correct spelling, or is it Africa...as she named her daughter? I was wondering who Africa, the daughter, married. I have an (unknown) Lawrence.
