Blount of Elvaston

In researching Sir Thomas Blount, the former Treasurer of Normandy and son of Sir Walter and Sancha de Ayala, I have come across a reference to a Roland Blount. Helen Castor in her book, The King, the Crown, and the Duchy of Lancaster, states that Sir Thomas Blount let and assault on John Cokayn (and others) to seek revenge for the murder of Roland Blount on April 11, 1455 at Derby. Does anyone know how Roland fits into the Blount family and what relation he was to Sir Thomas Blount?

Also, I know there are a few Blount researchers on these forums, if anyone has any advice on where I can find more research/data on the medieval branch of Elvaston Blounts then I'd be extremely thankful.

TJ
