That is a huge help! I think your line is also my line. Do you have the Ellison Deed Abstracts, 4 volumes, 1761-1832 for Pitt Co deeds? If not, I will send you abstracts for the Blount names you listed. For example:
Deed Book CC, p. 560, 6-22-1829. Grantors: Mary Salter, Thomas Salter, Sophia Salter and John S Easton. Grantee: John Edwards (BEAU) 1/6 part of 200 A; $33 1/3. Wit: James Sheppard, Reading S Blount.
That leads me to believe his middle name was Salter and this is the correct line. Let me know if you don't have these abstracts.
