And thank YOU, very much, Elizabeth, for contacting me and causing me to have a look at what Prof.Gary Taylor, who has a particular interest in Edward Blount/Blunt, publisher of the First Folio, has written lately.

I see that he has contributed to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography: Blount (Blunt), Edward (bap 1562, d in or before 1632), bookseller and translator, Gary Taylor, published Sept 2004, 1260 words.

It is Prof.Taylor, who when I mentioned, several years ago, that I was trying to find definite proof as to whether Sir Christopher Blount was of the Kidderminster or Lords Mountjoy family, kindly suggested that I might find the Earl of Leicester Accounts Book interesting; I most certainly did!

I shall now have to wait until I can visit one of the subscribing libraries in England (I am writing from Cyprus). The Kidderminster and Astley Blounts have curiously numerous links with a man from Stratford upon Avon called William Shakespeare; I would love Edward Blount of Kidderminster to be the publisher of the First Folio - but the records of the Stationers' Register state otherwise.

I cannot wait to get back to England, Elizabeth, and see what Prof.Taylor has written!

Thanks again,

Gillian
