I am a descendant of Lt. Stephen Blount of the Revolutionary War. He fought near Charleston at Eautaw Springs, SC. It is rumored tht he lost an arm or a leg. He was held as a prisoner of war for a short while. I have his wills, etc., He died at a young age in Savannah, Ga. leaving his third wife Charlotte Prioleau of Charleston to bear a daughter after his death. Son Stephen William Blount settled in the Waynesboro, Ga. area.Many
Blounts come from there. Two Blount family reunions have been there in the last few years. A John Blount in Oklahoma has authored a book of the Blount family with much help from his wife.Benjamin Blount III of Laguna, CA has done much research and sends a newsletter out regularly.
