Dear Sue, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! Your information was just what I needed to fill in a few more of the puzzle pieces to this illusive Turner bunch. I could not get to sleep tonight after posting my reply to you. So I decided to get up and check my messageboards. Now I know why I was sleepless! In effect, you have taken me back one whole generation, plus the added information on the parents of Rebecca (M?) BRITT TURNER BLOUNT. Now I am wondering where the "M." comes in....a middle name, perhaps....or just someone's faulty memory passed down through time...Any more facts there? Now I will start researching the BRITT family in addition to the TURNER line. Other lines that seemed to inter-marry during that time period in which I am interested are: CLARK, HILL, BURCH, and BLANCHETT/BLANCHARD. Perhaps some of your family also falls under these family lines. Those folks were hardy souls. Between the Civil War, Indian Wars, and general poverty and the need to work physically hard, I know they shared many hardships and trials. I honor these pioneers and do not want them forgotten. I look forward to meeting them in Heaven. What stories they will tell! I hope my husband can clear up this 'fatal error' stuff when he gets here for Easter. Until then, don't forget me. Let's keep in touch. I will be down in the Dothan, AL, area in a few weeks, and if you live anywhere in that area, perhaps we could meet for lunch. Thanks again.
