New York Census 1820 William Blount at Cato, Cayuga Co.;Joseph Blount at Scipio, Cayuga Co.;Samuel Graves at Aurelius, Cayuga Co.(my great-great grandfather whose wife was Sarah Blount). Greaves and Blount arrived on "Richmond" to New York City February 1820 from Liverpool (U.K.). List of passengers includes 8 Greaves (Graves) and 10 Blount names (3 separate families from near Alfreton, Derbyshire (U.K.): Joseph Blount age 40 (in census at Scipio, Cayuga Co.) on the boat Richmond with wife Sarah age 40 and children Sarah 19,William 15, Hannah and May 10, Anne 6, Eliza 4, Job 2, Benjamin 1. The William Blount of Cato, Cayuga Co. may be the uncle of Joseph Blount of Scipio, i.e.William Blount of West Hallam baptised 1742, who married Mary Abbott at Heanor, Derbyshire 15 November 1768. Their children: a John bap. 1771 and Mary = Ralf Redfern.
