Freeman W. Blount was my 3rd great grandfather and he was the sheriff of Meriwether Co. two different times. He also had a son, Levi Blount, who served a term as sheriff.
He did have a son by the name of Freeman W. Blount, Jr. but as far as I can tell, he never lived in or near Columbus.
