Thanks Cloyd. I appreciate your effort, but I'm looking for about the next generation down. I've seen Bromfield Nichols' "Blount" web page, but he doesn't go down far enough either. I'm looking for the ancestry of Nancy Blount, who married my great great great grandfather, Lewis Garris. Lewis lived in Greene Co., NC, when he married Nancy. Since their oldest son, Blount Caswell Garris, was born around 1820, I'd put Nancy's birth at about 1795 to 1805. I also have information that she was born in Pitt Co., but I don't know if this is reliable.

Since William Blount was from Edgecomb Co., I thought there might be a connection. Almost all of my ancestry after about 1790, comes from the east-central area of NC, more specifically, Greene, Wilson, Edgecomb and Pitt counties.

Thanks
