There are many of us that have been looking at this family. The parents that are probable for John Thomas Blount is Frederick Blount b. 1777 NC and Miorum (possibly Koen). They moved to Washington County, Alabama about 1830. Their known children are James Koen b 1795, Sarah Elizabeth (married Stokely) b 1799, Nancy (married Smith) b November 16, 1801, John Thomas b November 25, 1804, and Joseph. Censuses indicate there were more children, probably another daughter and two more sons. Nancy and Joseph are mentioned in Frederick's will which was witnessed by James Koen.
James Koen married 3 times and had several children. Sarah Elizabeth and husband moved to Grimes County, Texas after the Civil War. Nancy had 3 sons, all killed in the Civil War. Joseph has disappeared.
Your list of John Thomas's children is pretty accurate. James Koen - son not brother - married Lydia MOORE in Neshoba/Winston County MS in 1852. Three of their children were born in Neshoba, the rest in Texas.
