Excellent posting!

Yes, Elizabeth Blount, mistress of King Henry VIII, was of the Kinlet Blounts. She was the daughter of Sir John Blount of Kinlet and his wife, Catherine Pershall. She was a granddaughter of Sir Thomas Blount of Kinlet and his wife, Ann Croft.

Elizabeth Blount was a first cousin of Robert Blount, Esq., of Astley, who d.1573.

Robert Blount of Astley was the great grandfather of Capt. James Blount, immigrant ancestor of many of the Blounts in the southern United States.
