I have a grandfather Named (I think) Zachariah Taylor Blount birth around 1799 maybe Tenn. Married Lovie Jones of Tenn about 1824 and I have one son listed born to them. A Wiley Edney Bount born 3 Sep 1825 in Huntington, Carroll, Tenn. and md. Mary Ann Gooch on 14 Jan 1846 in Carroll County, Tenn. I am sure they had more children than that. The Son Wiley went to Holly Springs, Marshall, Mississippi and had 9 children born to them there. Mary Ann Gooch died 2 Oct 1862 in Holly Springs, Marshall, Mississippi and Wiley md.Sarah Spillars or Spellars on 17 or 20 Mar. 1864 In Holly Springs, Marshall, Mississippi and they had 6 children born to them. At some time they came to Texas and some settled in West Texas area --Oglesby, Lockney, McGregor and various places in the West Texas area. There is no one on the children list that are your Blount but I am wondering if he is a brother to Wiley Edney Blount. We also have some Blounts here where I live and we have not been able to tie in our lines yet but I think they do tie in somewhere as they too came from Tenn.
