Kyle,

My point was very clear that obviously Ms. Prescott who early believed that Sir Walter was the father of James and Thomas gathered new evidence about her prior conclusions when compiling her chart of 1902/1930 as she found James to be the father of James . I wanted to throw that information out for you. I have been following your discussions about this Sir Walter thing on this forum. I have read your research of this matter on" The Descendants of James" on the lemartin site. Such does not need to be repeated to me. I take no issue about all of that. On Miss Prescott’s chart it is clear that Thomas Blount who d. 1706 was a son of Capt. James Blount. I accept her research in all respects. I indicated that on my previous posting. I don’t get your point for repeating that to me. And please don’t cite those references to me…

However, it is your last question which really intrigued me.. Whether our Lt. Stephen is a descendant of James… Now you are the authority on the descendants of James, and you should be able to give me the answer to that question. ...

We do not know who the ancestors of Lt. Stephen Blount are and many many descendants have and still are searching.. neither could Ms. Prescott find the parentage of our Lt. Stephen during the early 1900’s. She was commissioned to do so by Reginald Mims Blount in 1928. She finally gave up.Thus our book is titled THE HISTORY OF THE BLOUNT FAMILY, THE DESCENDANTS OF LT. STEPHEN BLOUNT If you ever find a father of our Lt. Stephen would you send him our way?
Thanks,
LaWanna L. Blount, Ph.D.
