We too looking for this same Samuel who married Polly Tipps, d/o Elias Tipps and Mary Magdaline Nigh/Nye of Lincoln Co. NC.
Eldest son was Joseph, so we may be looking for a Joseph Blount of NC. Sam's dad has been very elusive for some 15 years of searching!
