All I know about my family is that I was born Myrtle Sally Blount in Atlanta, Ga. My mother was listed as Viola Blount on my birth certificate. She was a teenager and not marrried and from a well to do family. I was born on August 27, 1921 so my mother may not still be alive, but I always wondered if I have any sibllings anywhere since she probably had more children later. Her family made her give me up for adoption and I grew up in a Methodist Orphanage and was never adopted. I am 77, independent, still working, and am a good, Christian lady. I wish the family that did not want me, mainly because I was from an unwed mother and was born with a bad cleft palate which was repaired. Back in those days, families did not want to be embarrassed and they kept secrets. I am a secret. I wish I wasn't though.
