Mary "Polly" BLOSSOM who married Daniel GOODRICH

I have seen several family trees on Ancestry.Com and Familysearch.Com that indicate that Mary "Polly" Blossom who married Daniel Goodrich and settled in Richmond, VT, was the daughter of Peter BLOSSOM and his wife ? GOODSPEED. However, based on the census records of 1820 and 1830 in Richmond, Chittenden, VT, which show David BLOSSOM (the one b. 1755 and d. 1833) as living right next door, I am inclined to believe that he was the father and not Peter.

Does anyone on this list have evidence to refute this theory?

BTW, the Goodriches and Blossoms are ancestors to Sarah Louise (Heath) Palin, governor of Alaska and Republican VP candidate.
