Do you know what became of your Solomon Bloss? Did he move to Michigan? I found a death record for a Solomon Bloss in Genesee Co., Michigan: 1870 Mar. 30 - d. Solomon W. Bloss, married, died at age 46y 6m, in Mundy; b. N.Y. to Daniel Bloss and Arimath Bloss of N.Y.
I found that record while looking for the possible ancestry/siblings of an Abigail (Bloss/Smith) Forsyth, b. about 1804. On the death record of a son she's called Abigail Bloss, but on her own death record she's called daughter of Reuben Smith. Thus I don't know if her marriage in New York State to Russell Forsyth is a second marriage, or there was an error in her death record. Have you anything you could add to my confusion?
