My mother in law, Doris Allen Bloss (wife of Stanley Gordon Bloss), has Alzheimers. In her papers, we discoved a family history last updated in the 1970s, written by Mary Bloss Forck of Chillicothe, Mo.I know very little about family history research, but I'm trying, despite the fact that I have very little time.
This line seems to go back to Alford Bloss, born in Pa. in 1809.He married a woman named Sarah (no last name known) and they must have moved to Illinois because they had at least 2 children born there.Other Ill. references appear here and there, but they are rather difficult to see without a lot of study.
Dick, I was intrigued by the fact that you have 4000 names. Is this on line?I would love to give a hard copy of the information I have to someone and see it get put on line and connected to any other Bloss information anyone may have.
We don't know any Blosses who are related. My husband, Paul, is the son of Doris and Stanley Gordon Bloss (d. 1992).Stan's mother was a Bloss before she married, but she died in childbirth. He was therefore raised by his maternal grandmother who was married to Noah Bloss.Noah apparently lived most of his life in Mo., esp. in Chillocothe and Kansas City.
Dick, would you or any Bloss reading this message be interested in taking this information and making it available on line?If so, please email me at:
[email protected]
I'd really like to see it shared and updated to help others, but I simply can't do it.
