This is the only information that I have been able to find so far. Sela Bloss is my 3rd great-grandmother.
I found several trees on the internet that showed her birthdate to be in the year 1797. I have been unable to do any research on the correct date yet.
The children of William Sheldon, Jr. and Sela Bloss are:
Walter Bloss Sheldon b: 27 October 1818, in Watertown, New York, d: 1913 in Percival, Iowa, m: Sarah Ann Hawley
"He left New York by stage in the fall of 1863 to go west to find the family a new home. Sarah, her sons, brother E.R. Hawley, and E.R.'s family left New Hampshire on 2 May 1864 and arrived in their new home in Civil Bend (now Percival, Iowa) on 9 June, 1864." (I believe this is the Elijah R. Hawley who married Amelia Sheldon)
They had five children: Charles Esseltine Sheldon, Clark W. Sheldon, William Sheldon (died when 2 1/2 months old), William H. Sheldon, and Till W. Sheldon.
Eliza Sheldon b: 7 April 1817, Watertown, New York, d: 18 December 1900, Unknown location, m: Almond Rogers
Artia Sheldon b: 30 October 1822, Watertown, New York, d: Unknown, m: Henry Yates
Amelia Sheldon b: 21 May 1830, Watertown, New York, d: 15 December 1902, Iowa, m. 1847 Elijah R. Hawley, Jr.
They had eight children: Ann Elizabeth Hawley, Henry Elijah Hawley, Frank W. Hawley, Etta L. Hawley, Arta L. Hawley, Jay S. Hawley, Bertrand Hawley, and Mary Amelia Hawley.
Josiah B. Sheldon b: Unknown, Watertown, New York, d: unknown, m: unknown
Amelia Sheldon is my 2nd great-grandmother and Mary Amelia Hawley (b: 16 August 1851, Rome, New York. d: 1 January 1942, West Los Angeles, California)is my great-grandmother.
Mary Amelia Hawley married Orrin Knelem Paddock on 23 August, 1870.
They had eight children:
Minnie May Paddock, Freddie J. Paddock, William Brewer Paddock, George Washington Paddock, Flora Faye Paddock (my grandmother), Fern Amelia Paddock, Agnes M. Paddock, and Orrin Knelem Paddock, Jr.
Flora Faye Paddock (b: 28 February 1882, Percival, Fremont County, Iowa. d: After 1966 in Sherman, Texas. m: Charles DeRoy Williamson.
They had thirteen children.
