Yes, Rueben b. 1757 is in fact the son of Ezekiel and Elizabeth Skinner Bloomfield. Both parents apparently died soon after Rueben's birth. I have a copy of the will which shows this info. Since David is s/o John, and David ended up in KY, I wonder if a census might make reference to Rueben living with another Bloomfield family. Researchers seemed to think Rueben grew up with the Wright Skinner family but who knows for sure? That family lived in NY at times. If we could just find Rueben's marriage record, that might give us a start. As he shows up in the NJ tax rolls, 1786-1790 or so, he may have married in that area as well-since we know Skinner was born in NJ, presumably Rueben married in the east-but this is all just a hunch. Some census records actually list children by name and age, others list only males over 16 and no names. It is also thought that Polly was connected to Skinner but just finding the proof is difficult. Does anyone know where Polly died and if there may be an obit. that would tell her relatives? I don't know about Benjamin but I will watch for him in my records. I have seen his name but I don't recall where...I guess its back to the drawing board, huh? I let you know if I come up with anything more. Thanks for your reply. Jean
