My father has a 99.09% link to someone of the Bloomfield surname within 24 generations and 79.47% link at 17 generations. Or another way of stating it is a 61/67 ydna match to someone of this surname.
However my last name is MOODY. So far our Ydna is of Norse-Scottish-Irish lineage and so this Bloomfield person who is so close to us is rather surprising.
My thoughts are, if anyone here knows of a Bloomfield - MOODY marriage or perhaps a Bloomfield female who fathered a child with a MOODY and yet she gave that son her family name of Bloomfield, OR a Bloomfield family took in an orphaned male MOODY child but gave him their Bloomfield surname.
If anyone out there knows of any Bloomfield - Moody link in their family trees, I would be Most greatful to learn of it. Thank you very much for your help.
