We hope to prove that our Bloomfield line, (my mother's line), decended from the following. Thomas1 Bloomfield, born in England probably about 1615, died at Woodbridge, N.J., between I0 June 1684, when he made his will, and 5 March 1686, when it was proved. It is possible that his ancestor was in Ireland for he or his father was an officer in Cromwell's army and might have had some connection with Ireland during that time, or maybe even born in Ireland....
At any rate, glad you have joined our Bloomfield DNA study and as we go along and more join us, we will then, we hope, begin to understand where this family came from and their origins.
Thanks and we will keep you updated as we go forward.
Bob Johnson and Ann Johnson
