Mark, can you give more specific information about the Bloomfields from which you descend? There were many John Bloomfields and even several Rueben Bloomfields over the years. If you know the state and counties where they lived, their approximate year of birth, who they married, etc. there are probably several researchers who can help you. Thr first Rueben I know of, for certain, was born in Middlesex CO., Woodbridge, NJ ca 1750, altho he may have had ancestors in England by the same name. His children moved to various counties in KY abt. 1800 or so, then they moved to OH, Richland, Morrow, and other counties, then many moved on to Noble Co. IN, and some family branches to southern IN and to IL, etc. Several of the male children born after 1800 were named Rueben. Once you can provide more details, some of us may be able to give you lots more information.
