John married Hannah Field, my husband's gg grandmother, in 1849. She already had a son (illegimate)called William Henry Field, born in 1847. William Henry Field is my husband's great-grandfather. Hannah Field and her son were both born in Stoke Ash, Suffolk. Her parents were James Field (1786-1821, b. Mendlesham, Suffolk) and Mary Ann Sergeant (1793-1871, b. Ipswich, St Matthews). James Field was an agricultural labourer.
Hannah and John Bloomfield's son Benjamin was a witness at William Henry's wedding. William Henry had a cobblers shop in Ipswich and employed two men. However, he died in his 30s.
