Neil I am quoting from the family tree inherited from my late father. Robert {the poet} (b 1766) was the son of George Bloomfield (B 1730) & Elizabeth Manby (b 1736) married 1755. My connection to Robert is that he had a brother Isaac William (b 1761) who married Elizabeth Tilner (b 1765). They had 9 children including Isaac Bloomfield (b 1794). I have no marriage details for Isaac but my late father’s family tree shows he had a son James Isaac Bloomfield (b 1820) married Ann Hull (1843). This marriage produced a child Emma Charlotte Bloomfield (b 1850) who was my great grandmother. No other offspring are known. Is there a connection? I do not know. My great, great, great grandfather Isaac Bloomfield was born in Honington in the 1700’s, as was Robert. It would appear that my great, great, grandfather James Isaac Bloomfield (b1820) left Suffolk for London as his daughter Charlotte was born in St Luke’s, London. I don’t know that this helps you but I am willing to share what information I have Peter Notify Administrator about this message?
