I don't know anything about Bloomfield's in Michigan, but here's what you asked for: the only one of Joseph Bloomfield's male children who settled in the states was John J. Bloomfield, b. 1882. He lost touch with his family around 1900, after going from BC to Washington State. children of Joseph Bloomfield and Elizabeth Margison (all born NB, Canada): 1. George 1860-1920 (NB>BC) 2. Wallace 1862-1889 (died unmarried) 3. Mary Elizabeth 1866-1940 (NB>CA) m. Charles Richardson 4. Douglas 1869-1944 (NB>BC) 5. Edward 1871-1940's (NB>BC) 6. Jane 1873-1900 7. Marjorie 1875-1964 (NB>BC>CA) m. George Richardson 8. Bertha 1898-? m. Everett (NB>BC) 9. Hattie E. 188--1930(NB>BC>ONT) m. Monaghan 10. John J. b. 1882 NB>BC>USA disappeared around 1900 Margaret Thornhill
On the family tree that I am working on the name Joseph Edward Bloomfield and Mary Elizabeth come up, Joseph & Mary had a son Edward Whitfield Bloomfield, who married Jemima Ellen Watson (Jemima Was wm great grandmothers sister). They had two Children Marion Ellen Bloomfield and Edward E.Bloomfield. below are dates for what I have found,

Died, 31 Aug 1938 in B.C.
Married, 19 July 1902, Vancouver B.C.
Jemima Ellen Watson,
Born, 10 May 1880, in Laurel Grove, N. Ireland
Died, 30 Aug,. 1970, New Westminster, B.C.
Marion Ellen Bloomfield,
Born, 26 Feb. 1904,
died 20 Jan. 1976, Vancouver B.C.
I have sent your information The Marion's daughter and she recognizes the names listed and confirms them to be her great grandfathers siblings.
I have been to the B.C. Archives and was able to find and copy some of the marriage and death certificates of the above mentioned. On all the records that I have copies to Joseph and Mary's names are on them.
Were you able to contribute any more information or provide any other links to people looking for contacts to this side of the Bloomfield's.
