The Bloomfields of Lewis Co., Ky., are descendants of Henry Bloomfield b.1790 in N.J. and d.28 Sep 1868 in Three Prong Greenup Co., Ky., and Catherine Dummitt b.1794 in Ky. and d. abt 1851. They were married in 29 May 1810 in Fleming Co., Ky. Henry secondly married Elizabeth(Hanna) Zornes widow of Eastham Zornes in 1851 in Greenup Co.Known children were:
1)Henry b.1810 and d.8 Aug 1858 m.Catherine Eulett in 1831 in Lewis Co.
2)Susan b. 1811 m.Benjamin Pierce in 1831 in Greenup Co. and secondly David Scott in 1845 in Carter Co.
3) Polly b. 1812 m. John Royster in 1828 in Lewis Co.
4)Reuben b.1816 and d. 1882 m. Elizabeth Smith
5)Obediah b.1823 and d. 1911 m. Elizabeth Darling in 1844 in Lewis Co. This is my wife's 2nd g.grandparents
6)Elizabeth b.1826 and d.bef 1880 m.James Horsley in 1843 in Carter Co.
7)George David b.1827 m. Priscilla Scott sister to David
8)Alfred b.1831 and d.1852
9)Pheba b. 1834 and m. John Henry Zornes son of Eastham and Elizabeth Hanna Zornes.
Maybe others but these know for sure. You'll find that most of the people that are buried in the Laurel Point Cemetery are descendants of Reuben and at the Morgan Cemetery are descendants of HenryII. Obediah moved to Ruggles in 1860 and is buried in the Bloomfield Cemetery there with his descedants.My wife's paternal grandmother Cora Susan(Bloomfield) Lewis was 100 yrs old this past Jan.I'll see if I can find out about Columbus and get back with you.
