In looking at the data, we believe that David is possibly the son of Samuel Bloomfield (New Jersey-Woodbridge line)who died in 1777, he was son of Joseph and Eunice Dunham, son of Ezekiel Bloomfield on back to Thomas. Samuel died young, left an inventory...his son was Jonathan, named, who moved to Herikimer, NY...had a grandson who was named David Bloomfield also...the name David seems to have come from the Dunham side of the family. Also have done some more research on Rowan County, Jersey Settlement...these people came out of New Jersey...were Quakers converted to Baptists and moved to the Jersey Settlement. I believe, that David's mother remarried a man named Reid and moved to the Jersey Settlement with these folks...as there are Barclays and Todds mentioned in the early minutes of this church...on the Will of Robert Barclay, along with his daughter, Rachel. I also think that Rachel's father may have been Robert instead of SamuelBarclay or Barkley (different spellings of the name), her sisters married Todds. The Todds, Barclays and Bloomfields moved to Barren Co., KY together it seems. The above just off the top of my head...any thoughts.
Bob
