Could we possibly have a link!!!! My husband's great-great grandfather was Ira P. Bloomfield, born ca 1821 in VT. I know for certain that he had two brothers, John and Prentice. GG Grandpa Ira married Isabelle Jordan who was born in Moriah, Essex County, NY. They moved to Iowa in the mid-1850's. Their oldest son, Harvey F., was born in 1845 in Essex County, NY and their second son, Chester W., was born in WS in 1853. In searching the Essex County, NY area, I saw an Archibald Bloomfield but have been unable to make a definite connection to GG Grandpa Ira. Maybe you can help??
