I think your Portevint is a son of James Bloodworth who md. Ann Portevint, daughter of Samuel of New Hanover Co., NC. I am a descendant of James' brother, Timothy Bloodworth, Jr. They are sons of Timothy Bloodworth, Sr. and wife Margaret Evans, daughter of David Evans. James and Ann had: Samuel, Margaret, Timothy, James, William, Portevint, Ann, Robert, Milton, Alfred, and John. Several of these children moved to LA. I haven't done any actualy research on Portivint, but have in my files some research done by Bernice Warriner back in 1968. I can copy and mail to you if yo would like to have it. She has that Portivint md. Margaret Applewhite. Does this sound like your line? If so I can give you info on the ancestry of Portivint that I have collected over the years.
