I know I am related to one Abraham Bloodgood b. 8-3-1794 (m. Lydia Mersereau b. 1-31-97) their son was William b. 4-10-1833 who married Ida Solcombe of Va. Eastern Shore. He was in Civil War Co G New York 95th. Their son was Abram His son was my dad, Odeon Bloodgood.
Thanks to John Sten, I also know that Abraham's father was Peter Bloodgood and Peter's parents were Francis Bloodgood who married Margaret Buckalew.
my question #1. does anyone know who came before Frances b. 1738 -d. 1816 as far back as possible. I'm trying to connect with the first Bloodgood who came over from Holland.
Question #2 Is there anyone out there who has any of the above persons in their family line
Growing up in Hampton VA the only other Bloodgood I ever heard of was my dad's brother, my uncle. I thought the name was really rare!!!
