Greg: You have hit a jackpot. I live in Memphis but I have a daughter in Chicago who told me about the Newberry Library. I am descended from Neeltje Bloetgoet who married Samuel Waldron. Neeltje is a sister of William and Lysbeth Bloetgoet. William and Lysbeth are children of Capt. Frans Janse and Lysbeth (Jans) Bloetgoet. William married first, Mary Brinkerhoff, and second, Mary Gach. Lysbeth married first, Atephen Barrantse Ryder, second, Thomas Gach. Thanks for the Gach name, my source didn't have it.
A descendant of William, George M. Bloodgood along with John Bloodgood, Harold Bloodgood, Darlo Bloodgood, Earl Webb, Mervin Bloodgood, Kenneth Bloodgood, Kenneth Bloodgood and Don Bloodgood compiled a very fine family history titled, "1462-1980, Ancestors and Descendants of Captain Frans Janse Bloetgoet." I had the Newberry copy the section about Neeltje. The book is over 100 pages and almost all of it features William but I would be happy to share if you will give me your lineage to Lysbeth.
Just for the record, my lineage is Dallas Nelson, Katherine Russell Nelson, Lot Russell, John Russell, Anna Waldron Russell,
Francis Waldron, John O. Waldron, Neeltje Bloodgood Waldron, Frans Janse Bloetgoet.
