My ancestory, Elizabeth Bloodgood married in 1721 to Thomas Gauge/Gach/Gage (c.1702-1770) of Woodbridge, New Jersey. Elizabeth's brother was William Bloodgood who married Thomas' sister, Mary Gauge. One tradition has it that the family name was originally Bloetgoet or something like that and I think Elizabeth and William might have been grandchildren of Frans Bloodgood and Lysbeth Jans. Any help would be appreciated.
