Steve, The book "The Bloodgood Genealogy Vol 2" mentions that Mary Van Valkenburgh may have been the wife of John Bloodgood, the youngest son of Frans & Lysbeth Bloetgoet who was baptised on 8/4/1672 in the Old Dutch Church in NYC. He died in either 1715 or 1716. They had 6 children as follows:
Francis b. 1695 Flushing, NY d. 1766
John b. 1697 Flushing,NY
William b. 1698 Flushing, NY d. 1756
Elizabeth b. 5/29/1703 Flushing, NY
Deborah b. ?
Jeffry b. ?
The book says there is no substantiating evidence that John's wife Mary was indeed Van Valkerburgh, but references evidence that John's Mary was Mary Morgan who married a James Savage after John's death.
I would certainly like to know if the real "Mary" would please stand up. Do you have any information that could shed some light on this. Regards, John Sten
