Carmen, thank you so much for responding to my post so fast! I do appreciate the research, but I don't think it's the same Adelbert I'm looking for. I'm almost sure the one I'm looking for died in Illinois. Since I have just begun my search, I will keep your info at hand, just in case!
Oh, and about the Capt. Blood story I was told...It was about 15 years ago when I heard it and maybe the info the person was what was still believed at that time. From what I've read here on the boards she wasn't wrong about the jewels!
