Stacey, the purpose of the book in the authors words is to present something more then the usual born, married, died statistics . Roger Harris highlights mostly New England Bloods on whom he has been able to dig up some story about their life. He presents a little bit in the life of hundreds of Bloods, some related, some not. Usually carying the story for a few generations, many for only a single generation. The books available on loan from places such as The New England Historical and Genealogical Society or for purchase from many of the genealogical book stores on the www. I was interested in tracking down the author since he mentions part of my family line on page 108 as Geo Loammi, Samuel Loami Dix, Sam'l Dix, Amos, William. I wanted to discuss with him how/where he established the link between Amos and William. A link I have not been able to find.
