Do you have any information about Jeremiah Blood(b1739 Ireland d 6/18/1813 Florida NY)?
He may have come over with Sir William Johnson shortly before the Revolution and settled near the Mohawk River. Jeremiah's great granddaughter was my great grandmother. She and my father were very close,and she used to tell him that he was descended from the Thomas Blood who tried to steal the English crown jewels. I have not been able to learn anything about Jeremiah's background to know whether this is true or not.
I have a special reason for wanting to know about Jeremiah. This same grgrandmother's mother was Jane Blood, youngest child of Robert, son of Jeremiah. Her daughter Jane married Dell Blood of the English branch, descended from Robert of Ruddington who settled in Concord, MA. My objective for years has been to tie up the two branches of my family. Any help would be appreciated.
