Capt. Blood, Pirate is a fictional character from books written by Rafael Sabatini. The first book was published in 1922 by Houghton Mifflin Company and I believe was titled "Captain Blood: His Odyssey". It was also published in some magazines and also made into a movie in 1935 starring Erol Flynn as his first swashbuckler movie. I have a short story adapted from the book which was published in the Scholastic Scope in 1981. If you want me to email a copy to you let me know. I have had people claim that he was a real person but I am sure this is false.
