David,

The time frame is about right, but I'm sure the parents are Edgar and Mary. I have the family on the 1860 IN census (Elkhart Co.).
This is the second marriage for Edgar -- his first was to Ann Jenette Hine. They resided in Elkhart Co., IN. Their divorce papers stated that he had "an adulterous affair with Mary Hildreth, a woman of bad reputation", and that he abandoned his family and left for "parts unknown with said Mary." The census lists Edgar F., Mary Ann, Ervin (age 2, bp Iowa), and a 4 month old male, unnamed, born in IN. I don't have any info on their marriage (where or when) except the divorce papers are dated March 1858. I assume it was after that date. And since they left for parts unknown, they could have been married anywhere between Elkhart and Iowa, or who knows where.

I will keep you informed if I come across any other info. Thanks!

Pam
