Reasearch conducted in England: Thomas' older bro. Richard left Eng. cir 1634 (2 yrs. post "Crown Jewels" caper) for Vermont.
Began lumber bus. and did well. His son, Nathan, became lumber "baron". Thomas was exciled to Scotland where he trained mercinaries for George II in return for his release from the "Bloody Tower". Theft of "C.J." was result of Pub bet to show "it can be done".
