Asa Blood was born sometime between Feb 1 1796 and Feb 28 1797. According to the mortality schedule for the Federal census in 1850, he died in February 1850, age 53, of smallpox. His birthplace is listed as Vermont and his occupation as wagonmaker.
I wonder about Rev. Hervey Blood being son of Asa of Mason. The history of Orleans County NY states he was a native of Conway, Massachusetts, not Mason, NH. I have been unable to connect this Asa to the Conway area. The Story of the Bloods, however, lists him as son of Asa of Mason. I think more research needs to be done on this.
