There is not much information published about George. Here's what I've found from town records, cemetery stones, and census records.

George F. Blood b. 1833 in Orford, NH was one of the children of Sylvester Blood b. Sep 25, 1791, d. Sept 14, 1874 Orford, and his second wife Hannah Corliss b. July 13, 1800 Orford, d. May 30, 1854 and buried with her husband Sylvester in the Dame Hill Cemetery, Orford. Hannah’s parents were Sarah Gordon and Elihu Corliss. Elihu's first wife (name not known) died in 1832 age 37 in Orford giving birth, child died also. Sarah, Elihu's second wife, died June 1841 aged 78 in Orford buried in West Cemetery Orford. Elihu died Sept 1844 aged 86 in Orford buried in West Cemetery.

In the 1850 Orford census, George is 17 and living with his father Sylvester 57, his mother Hannah, 50, his sister Martha W. 14 and brother Sylvester C. 12. On Sept 23, 1854 George marries (1) Lucia S. Trussell (marriage documents says Lucia L, Not Lucia S.) Lucia b. June 9,1833 in Orford. Lucia was the daughter of Benjamin Trussell and his second wife Aseneth French. Benjamin d. Jan 10, 1882 aged 86. Aseneth d. April 11, 1860 age 62. Benjamin and Aseneth are both buried in Dame Hill Cemetery.

In 1860 George is in Orford as a 27 year old farmer living with his wife Lucia 27, and Lucia’s Aunt ?, Mary Trussell, aged 69. They have a daughter Ida A. Blood b. April 6, 1861 in Orford. On Oct 3, 1863 Lucia S. Blood, aged 30 dies in Orford and is buried in Dame Hill Cemetery. George marries (2) Maria M. Millen on Dec 31, 1864 in Orford. Maria b. 1836 in Haverhill, NH.

By 1870 they have moved to Lawrence, MA where George is an Express man aged 35 along with Maria and his daughter Ida aged 8 that he had with Lucia.

In 1880 George is a police officer in Lawrence with his wife Maria aged 46 and daughter Ida A. aged 19 who works in a loom harness shop.

George F. Blood d. Lawrence, MA of paralysis of brain on Nov 11, 1896 aged 60 and is buried in Dame Hill Cemetery in Orford next to his first wife Lucia. (George’s burial permit reads that he was 69 years, 5 months, 9 days old at time of death...possibly the 69 is 60)

In the 1900 census Maria is still living in Lawrence, alone aged 68 with a birth date given as June 1831 (not correct based on her stone). In 1902 Maria dies and is buried in the Central Haverhill Cemetery, NH along with her mother, Fannie G., father, Ananias and, I assume, her sister, Francis B. Her brother William is not buried there. Maria’s stone reads Maria M. Blood 1836-1902. The other side of her stone contains the names and dates of her above mentioned Millen family.
