In Reply to: Family of Orlando Blood, born New York, and Parmelia A. Fairchild by Ronald Hallberg of 1820

Is it for certain that Orlando is the first name ?

As his first son was Giles F, on the 1850 NY Essex N Elba census there is a Giles Blood b.c.1828 NY, single.

The b.year of 1825 for Orlando on 1860 Lake co IN and 1870 Porter co IN census would be b.c. 1831-32 NY He d.bef 1880 as his wife is a widow on 1880 Porter co IN census.

It is interesting that one of the grandsons of your Orlando and son of Archie has a first name of Roscoe. In Essex co NY there is a Roscoe/Blood Cemetery, where many Bloods are buried.

I am not researching this Blood line, but have many with this same surname that were of Essex co and the Sarnac Lake area of NY,
