Dear all On behalf of Eugene Blood the co-ordinator, I am issuing an invitation to all male BLOODs to join the BLOOD project at FamilyTreeDNA, which gives you a discount. Answers to most questions are at http://www.ftdna.com/faq.html; Genuki describes the process at http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/bigmisc/DNA.html You can JOIN UP via our project at http://www.familytreedna.com/(xlcu4t55klkyx255z3xtro45)/public/Blood/index.aspx I strongly suggest you get the largest test you can afford - a 12 marker test virtually only tells you you come from Western Europe, while a 25 marker test will tell you if you are a BLOOD or not. The 37 marker test is necessary for working out where you fit in the tree. The more people we can get from different BLOOD families, the better it will be. I can tell you that you will find the results absolutely fascinating - my own test has put me in touch with my cousins in the USA and we are in the process of sorting out the details of which early line fits where. I have also been in touch with people from the same part of England who are related prior to the formation of surnames, and also to some people who are descended from an illegitimate birth, and we are finding some family connections.
