Not muddying the water - rather illuminating events which took place a long time ago!
Both Robert Craig Askew & Marilyn Belanger give similar dates - 25 & 26 of November 1642 respectively for Richard Bloods marriage to Isabell Wilkinson. It would appear the dates come from a primary source as they are so precise. Find the source and confirm the date! (try the Groton marrige register for 1642?).
It appears that my scenario for the marriage taking place in England is wrong, although Richard & Isabell appear to come from the same place (Ruddington) so their families probably knew one another before they emigrated. (They could have met on the ship of course - a la Titanic.........)
Are the records of the Massachusetts Bay Company, under whose aegis most of the "Pilgrims" went to Massachusetts still in existence?
Today (or tomorrow) is the 346 th. anniversary of Richard and Isabell's marriage. It is also Thanksgiving - just coincidence?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mike Roper
