Kathi,

Do you have any information on George Blood from Derby, England? I am a direct descendent from him. All I know is he was a tailor in Derby and married Mary Thompson at All Saints in Derby in 1818.
I've also learned that at some point prior to 1850 he travelled to America and settled in Monroe County, Georgia. The 1850 census shows that he is 54 years old, married to a woman named Nancy (age 26), and they have one child, age 1.
The 1860 census shows that he and Nancy have two children, George age 11 and Mary E. age 8.
I have no idea what happened to Mary Thompson Blood. I'd love more info on the Bloods in Derby if you have it. Thanks!
