Thank you so much. This has to be my ggmother. My gmother has sporadic memory but does know that her people were from Dedham. I'm new to this root-search. It is interesting how names change; ie, my gmother pronounces her father's name as if it were spelled Morris (like the cat) so Maurice was a surprise for me.
I wish I had more specifics to share but my gmother cannot even tell me what state she was born. I always believed it was Maine. My mother was born in Milo, ME which is how I tracked you down. Here is what I know.
Nellie had a sister Sadie who married Will St.Clair who owned a business in Mass. Maurice Moore married Nellie Evelyn Blood and they had four or five children (Waverly and Clair (boys) and Florence Gertrude (my gmother- born 18 Apr 1906)) and Hera) No info on the boys other than they were lumberjacks in Maine. Hera Moore married Harry Hamlin and had a son Cedric Hamlin.
Florence married Frederick Treat Haley (born 6 Jan 1901 (?) in Bucksport, ME; died Jan 1971 in Norwalk, CT); they had three girls all born in Milo, ME.(Rose-Marie Louise (my mother) b 6 Apr 1923; Phyllis Rebecca b, 1926 and Ruth Lucille b 1927)
My gmother mentioned something about her mother (Nellie) and Brewer, Maine and Holden, Maine bue she doesn't have a clear memory of this, she is 95.
