A Blohm looking for a place to start research...
Hi, I was just kicking around the idea of seeing what my distant relatives are doing, and find that there are more of them than I had realised.
I believe I'm a descendant of the Saginaw, Michigan branch and have relatives that have spread about the Midwest.
I've found several emigrations from Germany to america around the turn of the century for Blohms, and most of my searches seem to point back to Lubeck, Germany eventually.
Any suggestions for good places to start research?I'm going to dig up what my great aunt had complied about 20 years ago.She managed to trace the Blohm's and Grover's (my paternal Grandmother) back about 10 generations to a reference that read "God's Grace (king)"
Not sure what it refers to, but it is intriguing.
Thanks,
- Clayton Blohm, son of Charles Michael Blohm. Son of Lester A. Blohm (he never would tell me what the A stood for)
