Hi Sharon,
I am so appreciative to you for linking Sally Bodgett to her history. Thomas and Sally are my Great Great Grandparents. Their son Daniel James WHEELER born in Oct, 1825 made it all the way to California. How Daniel WHEELER got to California is not known to me. He was listed as a machinist in the 1870 census in Santa Clara County, California. He was a learned man of his time. I have a booklet he wrote in San Francisco in 1875. In that booklet was his birthplace in Shelburne, Coos County, New Hampshire and his birthdate.
My Grandfather Willian Daniel WHEELER was born in California in 1869 in Santa Clara County. I have a census record of 1870 to prove that.
I have two children and can now link them to the American Revolution through Jonathan BLODGETT, Father of Sally BLODGETT. Was he also related to Capt. Samuel Blodgett?
Best Regards to You
